The faith community is grieving the tragic demise of Evangelist Alexander Wurm (53) and his daughter Serena Wurm (22), who sadly perished in a plane accident on the morning of November 10, 2025, while they were on a humanitarian mission in Jamaica.
Family members and colleagues from their ministry reported that the father and daughter were delivering aid supplies when the unfortunate incident took place. They were both characterized as kind-hearted people whose lives centered around service, spirituality, and a profound love for humanity.
Alexander, fondly referred to as Alex, established Ignite the Fire Ministry, an initiative aimed at uplifting youth throughout the Caribbean via missions, leadership development, and evangelism. Over his many years in ministry, he visited various nations, sharing a message filled with faith, empathy, and optimism.
“He wasn’t only a man of prayer—he embodied it,” remarked a close friend. “He readily gave of himself, always eager to listen, teach, and elevate those nearby.”
Serena, motivated by her father's influence, participated actively in humanitarian initiatives and youth outreach programs. Her caring nature and lively spirit made her a beacon of hope and support for many people. Together, they embodied a legacy of generosity and bravery that affected innumerable lives.
Evangelist Wurm leaves behind his wife, Candace, and two children — James (17) and Christiana (20).
As messages of remembrance come in from across the globe, many have referred to Alexander and Serena as “shining lights of faith and love” whose influence will persist in inspiring others.
Their organization, Ignite the Fire, released a communication on its official website www.ignitethefire.ky, encouraging supporters to commemorate their memory by continuing their mission of kindness, compassion, and faith.
May Alexander and Serena Wurm's souls find eternal peace, and may their legacy persist in the lives they have influenced.
