A road-rage confrontation in Duncanville, Texas, has led to an arrest after a woman was injured during a roadway encounter that police say escalated into a dangerous situation. Authorities continue reviewing the circumstances while the legal process moves forward.

Duncanville Road-Rage Investigation

According to the Duncanville Police Department, officers responded on July 28, 2026, at approximately 7:55 p.m. to the 600 block of East Interstate 20 following reports of a roadway confrontation. Investigators learned that the occupants of a vehicle had been involved in a dispute with the driver of a Kia sedan before the situation intensified. Police stated that a round was fired toward the victims’ vehicle before the other driver left the area.

The vehicle involved in the incident had two occupants. The driver sustained an injury and was transported to Central Methodist Hospital for medical care, while the passenger did not suffer physical harm. Authorities later stated that the injured woman was released from medical treatment after receiving care for injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The incident left both victims and their families facing the emotional impact of a sudden and dangerous encounter.

Following the event, Duncanville detectives began gathering evidence and working to determine what occurred. Investigators conducted interviews, reviewed available evidence, and examined information from Flock automated license-plate recognition cameras as part of the investigation. Police identified 58-year-old Reo Bowman Jr. as the person they believe was connected to the confrontation. Any criminal allegations remain part of the legal process, where evidence will be considered through the appropriate court proceedings.

On August 18, detectives and members of the Duncanville SWAT team carried out a search warrant and arrested Bowman without further complications, according to police. He was later charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, which are second-degree felony charges under Texas law. The case remains active, and additional developments may occur as investigators and the court system continue their work.

Officials have used the incident as an opportunity to highlight the potential dangers of road-rage situations. Traffic disagreements can quickly become unpredictable when emotions escalate, creating risks not only for the people directly involved but also for other drivers and passengers nearby. Authorities encourage motorists to avoid confrontations, prioritize safety, and contact law enforcement when a roadway dispute becomes threatening.

For the Duncanville community, the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of patience and caution while driving. While investigators continue examining the details, the focus remains on supporting those affected and allowing the legal process to proceed. Roadways are shared spaces, and responsible decisions behind the wheel can help prevent situations from becoming harmful. The case involving the East Interstate 20 confrontation will continue to receive attention as authorities work toward a full resolution.
