Angela Anderson Obituary Update: Heartbreaking UPS Aircraft Accident Claims the Lives of Angela Anderson and Three Pilots Nearby

 LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A tragic accident near Muhammad Ali International Airport resulted in the deaths of Angela “Angie” Anderson, a 45-year-old mother of two, along with three UPS pilots on Tuesday afternoon.

Anderson, who had said farewell to her boyfriend earlier that day, reportedly reached Grade A Auto Parts & Scrap Metal Recycling, situated just south of the airport, at 5:11 p.m., as captured by security cameras. Just a few moments later, UPS Flight 2976, a Boeing 757 loaded with 50,000 gallons of jet fuel, took off with its left engine ablaze. The plane quickly lost stability and crashed into the industrial yard where Anderson was located, killing her on impact.

Her boyfriend, Donald Henderson, expressed his profound sadness over Angie's passing. “She means everything to me,” he said, fighting back tears. “I told her, ‘Go ahead, take it.’ Those were my final words to her.”

Following the explosion, nine individuals are still missing, and debris ignited spread throughout the vicinity. Among the confirmed casualties is a child who was at the scrap yard with a guardian.

UPS has recognized the deaths of the three pilots: Capt. Richard Wartenberg, First Officer Lee Truitt, and International Relief Officer Capt. Dana Diamond. “We are beyond words in expressing our sorrow,” stated the company in an announcement.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has retrieved the black box and is probing into the reason behind the engine fire. Footage reveals the jet taking off before veering left and descending in an enormous fireball.
