WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The community of Winston-Salem is devastated by the tragic passing of 19-year-old Cameron Demon Napper, Jr., who was shot and killed early on Monday morning.

As per information from the Winston-Salem Police Department, officers were dispatched following reports of a shooting on Bertha Street at around 3 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Napper with several gunshot injuries. Despite the quick actions of emergency medical staff, he was pronounced dead at the location.
Authorities have initiated a homicide inquiry and are actively seeking information regarding the senseless violence that resulted in Napper’s death. There have been no arrests made thus far, and detectives are calling on anyone with knowledge to reach out to Winston-Salem Crime Stoppers or the Major Crimes Division.
Cameron is remembered by family, friends, and neighbors as a compassionate and driven individual whose energy brought joy to any gathering. He had aspirations and ambitions that he was pursuing—ambitions that have now been tragically interrupted. His passing creates an irreplaceable gap in the lives of those who cherished and cared for him.
