REVISION: Authorities Detain Individual in Connection with One of Two Murder Cases on Friday in Wisconsin Rapids

 WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis — Authorities in Wisconsin Rapids have provided new information regarding two separate and tragic homicide cases that occurred on Friday, leaving the community disturbed and two families in profound grief.

The victims have been named as 34-year-old Antoni Quinones and 56-year-old Randall Harris Sr., both of whom succumbed to injuries from different events on October 31, 2025. Investigators have stated that while the two murders happened within a few hours of one another, they are unrelated and seem to be independent incidents.

As reported by the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department, officers responded to a report at a residence on South 11th Street, where they found Randall Harris Sr. deceased. After an investigation, authorities arrested 34-year-old Randall Harris Jr., the son of the victim, in connection with the homicide. He was taken into custody without resistance and is presently held at the Wood County Jail.

In an unrelated case, officers were sent to a residence on South 21st Avenue, where they discovered Antoni Quinones with serious injuries. Quinones was quickly transported to Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital, but ultimately passed away from his injuries despite the efforts made to save him.

Details regarding possible suspects or motives in Quinones’ death have not yet been disclosed by the police; however, the investigation is ongoing. Detectives are actively collecting evidence and conducting interviews to uncover the events surrounding the fatal incident.

Officials have announced that autopsies for both individuals have been scheduled for November 3 in Madison. The results are anticipated to shed further light as investigators continue to piece together the incidents in both cases.

The Wisconsin Rapids community is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of two individuals in just one day. Friends and relatives of both victims are grieving the abrupt and horrific circumstances that led to their deaths, while police strive to secure justice and closure for the mourning families.
