Travis Clayton Obituary Death Announcement: 44-Year-Old Travis Clayton from Opp, Alabama Has Died

 The community in Opp, Alabama, is grieving the sudden and tragic death of 44-year-old Travis Clayton, whose life ended abruptly during a fatal event in Luverne on Thursday, October 30.

As per information from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), agents from the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) were called in by the Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Office following alerts regarding an occurrence on the 1000 block of Quail Tower Road. Deputies got to the location just before 1:45 p.m. and discovered Travis Clayton unresponsive. Although first responders arrived promptly, Travis was sadly declared dead at the scene.




Authorities subsequently identified a second individual, 39-year-old DeAndre Phiffer from Rutledge, in relation to the incident. After assessing initial evidence and statements from witnesses, officials charged Phiffer with manslaughter. He was later taken to the Crenshaw County Jail, where he remains detained while the investigation is ongoing.
