He was 51 years of age. Widely recognized for his extensive tenure as the assignment desk manager at WISN 12 News, Andy’s abrupt passing has left a profound sense of loss within the newsroom he meticulously guided for over a decade and the broader Milwaukee media landscape he engaged with for nearly thirty years.

Colleagues frequently referred to Andy as the “core of the newsroom.” Although his contributions mostly took place off-camera, his impact was evident in every news segment. Serving as the assignment desk manager at WISN 12 from 2013 to 2025, he was tasked with organizing news teams, monitoring breaking developments, and ensuring reporters arrived at the right locations in a timely manner. His composed nature during crises, keen editorial judgment, and steadfast commitment rendered him an essential element of the station’s everyday activities.

Prior to his tenure at WISN 12, Andy dedicated 15 years to TMJ4, where he established himself as a reliable and adept newsroom expert. From 1998 to 2013, he was involved in numerous news segments that informed and shaped the Milwaukee community. Throughout both stations, Andy gained the admiration of reporters, producers, photographers, and supervisors, many of whom attributed their growth to his mentoring of emerging journalists and his ability to promote collaboration in high-pressure situations.

A proud resident of Milwaukee’s south side, Andy felt deeply connected to his community. He graduated from St. Thomas More High School in 1992 and later received his degree from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. In his personal life, Andy was known for his friendly nature, sharp sense of humor, and unwavering support for his local teams, particularly the Green Bay Packers, about whom he had a lifelong passion.

Despite his many accomplishments, Andy's greatest fulfillment came from his family. He is survived by his wife, Tina, along with their two children, Drew, aged 15, and McKayla, aged 12. He was preceded in death by his son, Aaron, whose memory remained a significant part of his life. Friends and coworkers often regarded Andy as a devoted spouse and father who successfully balanced the demanding hours of television journalism with genuine affection and devotion to his family.

In memory of Andy’s life, visitation will take place on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Prasser-Kleczka Funeral Homes – Bay View Chapel. A funeral service will commence at 6:00 PM that evening. Family, friends, colleagues, and community members warmly welcome all to gather for remembrance and celebration of a life that profoundly impacted so many.
