Azariah Hough Obituary Death News: 20-Month-Old Child, Azariah Hough Passes Away in Hot Tub in Kissimmee

A father has been taken into custody in central Florida following the passing of his 20-month-old daughter, Azariah Hough, linked to an occurrence involving a hot tub at a rental property in Kissimmee.

As per the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and fire rescue personnel arrived at approximately 3:30 a.m. on December 13, 2025, in response to a report regarding a toddler who was unresponsive and seemed to have drowned in a hot tub. Azariah was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead.

Investigators noted that the family, who were visiting from Washington, D.C., was lodged at an Airbnb accommodation. Azariah’s father, 33-year-old Reynard Tyrone Hough, reportedly informed detectives that he entered the hot tub with his daughter and fell asleep while holding her.

Officials indicated that Hough confessed to drinking that evening and allegedly consumed two different drugs prior to entering the hot tub. Investigators suspect that the combination of alcohol and drug use led to his falling asleep, putting the child in a perilous situation.

Detectives concluded that Hough’s behavior amounted to neglect and initially charged him with child neglect resulting in serious bodily injury. On December 14, he faced an additional charge of aggravated manslaughter of a child.

Hough is currently held in the Osceola County Jail as the inquiry continues. The unfortunate death of Azariah Hough has raised fresh concerns regarding child safety and supervision in aquatic environments.
