Builth Wells Incident – Prioritizing Driver Safety Above Equipment: Builth Wells Incident Report

At approximately 4:00am today, one of our fleet of 660 vehicles was involved in a significant traffic collision in the Builth Wells region. The incident caused the truck and its trailer to veer off the roadway, ultimately resting on its side.

The details regarding the accident are currently under investigation, but we believe it is vital to communicate the situation clearly and promptly, especially since images and information can spread quickly through online platforms.

Our primary concern is for our driver, Mark, and we want to emphasize this right away. We are very grateful to report that Mark is unharmed. He received quick assistance from emergency personnel at the site and was transported to the hospital as a precaution.

We have been reassured that his injuries are not life-threatening, and he is expected to fully recover. Although this was a disturbing incident, the most crucial aspect is that Mark is safe.

As a company, we want to clarify our priorities unequivocally. Vehicles can be fixed or substituted — lives cannot be. A truck, regardless of its worth, is ultimately comprised of metal, rubber, and plastic.

In contrast, our drivers cannot be replaced. Mark’s well-being is far more important than any repairs needed for equipment, adherence to schedules, or overall operations. His health, comfort, and recovery are our foremost concerns at this time.

We provide this update now because we recognize that images and conjecture may start circulating on social media, which often happens after such incidents.

Without accurate information, misunderstandings can quickly arise. By sharing the facts, we aim to prevent misinformation and maintain the focus on what truly matters — our driver’s welfare and the professionalism of those who responded to the emergency.

Our immediate focus is on ensuring Mark receives comprehensive support. This includes maintaining close communication with medical staff, assisting his family, and making every effort to guarantee his comfort and care.

With the holiday season approaching, we are also striving to facilitate Mark's timely return home when it is safe and suitable. Being with family during this festive time holds great significance, especially following such a challenging experience.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the emergency personnel who responded to the scene so efficiently and professionally during the early morning hours. Their swift action and care significantly impacted the situation, and we are truly thankful for their dedication.

Additionally, we appreciate everyone who has reached out with their messages of concern, support, and compassion. These words resonate deeply with us and serve as a powerful reminder of the supportive community that surrounds our team.

Further updates will be provided only when appropriate. For now, our thoughts are firmly with Mark, and we eagerly anticipate welcoming him back home safely.
