His sister promptly dialed 911 seeking assistance, but the family now claims that negligence from Henry County EMS played a role in his demise. A statement from the Law Offices of Michael D. Harper reveals that the EMS crew failed to provide essential asthma medication due to faulty equipment. The family’s lawyers assert that the bag-valve mask utilized to support his breathing was not operating correctly, an issue they contend should have been identified during routine equipment checks conducted before shifts.

Additionally, there are serious concerns regarding the methods employed by EMS staff while assisting Charles in his time of respiratory distress.
