Gibbs, aged 34, who was shot and killed early on Friday, December 19, 2025, during a violent incident at Big Woody’s restaurant and bar situated at 1302 Hanover Avenue. Authorities swiftly arrived at the location after receiving reports of gunfire, which had erupted amid what investigators described as a confrontation that intensified within the venue.

As reported by the Allentown Police Department, the gunfire incident took place around 1:30 a.m. Emergency medical teams rushed Gibbs to Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg, where he was declared deceased at 2:40 a.m. Additionally, two other individuals were also injured by gunfire during the event. One of the wounded was transported to the hospital by ambulance, while the other arrived in a private vehicle. Both of these individuals are currently stable and are anticipated to recover from their wounds.
