Hunter Boike Car Accident Detroit, MI Death, Obituary: Cherished Community Member Passes Away in Tragic Traffic Incident

 It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the death of Hunter Sebastian Boike from Detroit, Michigan, who sadly lost his life in a tragic car accident on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at around 1:00 a.m. Hunter was only 26 years old when he was taken by the Lord, leaving behind a family and community forever altered by his absence.

Hunter was cherished as a son, brother, father, and friend. He is survived by his parents, Jason and Jodie Boike; his siblings, Logan, Chase, and Brooklyn Boike; and his beloved son, Kanon Boike, who brought him immense joy and pride. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Susan Boike and Jody Bates. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Floyd Boike, whom he has now joined in eternal rest.

Those who had the pleasure of knowing Hunter recall his kind heart, contagious smile, and the sincere way he looked after others. He embraced life with enthusiasm and love, always prioritizing his family. Becoming a father was among Hunter's most fulfilling experiences, and his devotion to Kanon was unwavering. Even though his life ended too soon, the love and memories he fostered will carry on through his son and the many lives he touched.

Hunter brought joy, resilience, and connection to those around him. He was a reliable friend, demonstrating love not just in words but through meaningful actions. His absence is profoundly felt, and he will be greatly missed by family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A memorial service celebrating Hunter’s life is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., with visitation available from 11:00 a.m. until the service starts, on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the Peshek Family Funeral Home, located at 68655 Stoecker Lane, Richmond, MI 48062.

To honor Hunter's legacy, and instead of flowers, the family respectfully requests that financial contributions be made towards the future and education of his son, Kanon Boike. This request aligns with Hunter's profound wish—to ensure his child's future and well-being.
