 John Handrigan Obituary, Death – The community of Newfoundland and Labrador is in mourning for John Handrigan, a treasured husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and mentor. The sudden loss of John after a brief illness has created a significant emptiness in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him. Just under a month ago, he was diagnosed with a rare type of brain cancer, CJD, and he faced his final moments with the bravery, compassion, and strength that characterized his existence.

John was a committed family man and a respected individual within his community. He enjoyed 35 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Jackie, and took pride in being the father of his daughters, Nicole (married to Jeremy) and Kathleen (married to Michael). His affection and commitment also extended to his siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all of whom he held in high regard. His departure leaves behind a heritage of love, guidance, and countless moments that will be eternally cherished.
