Worrying about the seriousness of his symptoms, he sought emergency assistance, suspecting he might be on the verge of a heart issue.

Shortly after his arrival, Sreekumar received an electrocardiogram (ECG). According to his family, he was subsequently informed that the results did not show any immediate concerns. He was given Tylenol to alleviate his pain and told to remain in the emergency room waiting area. During that period, no further diagnostic tests or monitoring were reported.

As time went on, Sreekumar’s health reportedly declined. His wife mentioned that he began to experience blurred vision, dry heaving, and increasing distress. At one point, his blood pressure is said to have surged to a critical level of 210. Despite these worsening conditions, he was kept in the waiting room for over eight hours, leading to significant worries about whether his situation was accurately reassessed.

It was only after the lengthy wait that Sreekumar was finally invited into the treatment area. Tragically, just seconds after sitting down, he clutched his chest and fell unconscious. Medical personnel attempted to help him, but he never regained awareness and was later declared dead. Early reports suggest he experienced a cardiac arrest.

Prashant Sreekumar is survived by his spouse and three young children, who are 3, 10, and 14 years old.
