The Cambridge community is grieving the tragic loss of Samantha “Sammy” Robertson, 25, who sadly died in a car accident during the early morning of November 30, 2025. Her abrupt departure has left her family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who knew her in profound sorrow.
Samantha entered the world on May 25, 2000, in Columbus, Ohio, to parents Bradley Robertson and Rebecca Emans Lafollette. She spent her childhood in Cambridge and completed her education at Cambridge High School, graduating in the Class of 2018. Throughout her educational journey, she actively participated in the Bobcat Marching Band and had a passion for playing softball. Her vibrant character, generosity, and humor made her a beloved companion and teammate.
As a diligent and committed individual, Samantha held the position of general manager at Little Caesars in both Cambridge and Coshocton. She took great pride in her responsibilities, showed a genuine concern for her employees, and was recognized for her dependability, leadership abilities, and the friendliness she infused into her workplace.
Beyond her professional life, Sammy had a variety of interests. She found joy in baking, crafting delightful treats for those around her, and greatly appreciated time spent with her family. Most importantly, her role as a mother was her highest priority. Her son, Rickey, brought immense joy to her life, and she approached motherhood with dedication, resilience, and infinite love. She was a remarkable mother who consistently placed her young son above all else.
Samantha is survived by her cherished son, Rickey Black; her parents, Brad (Hannah) Robertson and Becky (Cody) Lafollette; her siblings, Nick Robertson, Jake Robertson, and Logan Lafollette; her maternal grandparents, Ronald and Karen Emans; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, along with numerous close friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Beth Ann Robertson.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so during visitation scheduled for 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM, led by Pastor John Rinehart. Interment will occur at Williams Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, located at 2318 Maple Ave., Zanesville, Ohio.
Samantha’s radiant spirit, loving nature, and steadfast commitment to her family will always be remembered. May she find eternal peace.
