Seth Atkinson from Birmingham, Alabama has tragically passed away at the age of 44.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Benjamin “Seth” Atkinson, aged 44, who returned to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the early hours of December 7, 2025. Seth was born on October 25, 1981, in Jefferson County, Alabama, and he embodied faith, integrity, and loyalty to his family, friends, and community throughout his life.

In 2000, Seth graduated from Corner High School and went on to further his studies at the University of Alabama, where he expanded his passion for leadership and community service. Those who were familiar with Seth recognized that his presence enhanced the lives of those around him—he uplifted others, led by example, and maintained a steadfast commitment to a purposeful existence.

Over the past 18 months, Seth confronted the challenges of cancer with incredible bravery, undergoing chemotherapy, surgeries, and various complications with resilience and poise. Throughout this difficult time, he consistently prioritized his devotion to his family, his faith, and his community. He was a nurturing father who adored his children above all, a devoted husband who deeply respected and loved his wife Carmen, and a supportive son, brother, and friend whose loyalty and gentleness left an enduring impression on everyone he encountered.

As a genuine servant of the community, Seth volunteered wherever he was needed. His tenure as treasurer for the PTA demonstrated his readiness to take on leadership roles, always maintaining a demeanor of humility and humor. He was the type of individual who discreetly contributed to making the world a better place, whether by organizing community gatherings, mentoring others, or simply being present for those in need.

Seth’s influence persists in the hearts of those he loved and aided. His life was a testament to courage, faith, and the purest forms of love. For those mourning his absence, the memories of his laughter, guidance, and endless devotion serve as a source of comfort and inspiration.

He is survived by his treasured wife, Carmen, his adored children, and his extended family and friends. While his physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit remains vibrant in the many lives he impacted.

He has been received into Heaven with the proclamation, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” Seth’s legacy will forever endure through the love he shared, the lives he influenced, and the standards he modeled. Heaven has welcomed an angel, and we will continue to honor his love, faith, and memory here on Earth.
