 The community of Waterville, Minnesota, is coming together in grief after the tragic passing of Brady Kessler, a 7th-grade student, enthusiastic learner, and esteemed member of the Grizzly Wrestling family. At only 12 years old, Brady’s departure has left friends, fellow wrestlers, coaches, and local residents bewildered by the abrupt quiet left by a young individual brimming with potential, liveliness, and happiness.

Brady relocated to the Waterville-Elysian-Morristown region three years prior with his family, swiftly becoming a vital part of the tight-knit Grizzly Wrestling community. As soon as he and his twin brother, Aaron, received an invitation to their inaugural practice, both boys eagerly embraced the sport. Their twinning relationship fostered an unusual resilience and competitiveness on the mat, motivating each other to become stronger, tougher, and more self-assured. Coaches frequently remarked that this commitment, along with Brady’s upbeat spirit, distinguished him from others.

As a teammate, Brady consistently inspired those around him with his unwavering spirit. He faced challenges head-on and demonstrated respect for others, regardless of the outcome. Over time, he greatly improved his abilities, which showcased his dedication and passion for wrestling. His family members describe him as affectionate, considerate, and deeply connected to those around him, especially his siblings. His identity as a brother—especially as Aaron’s twin—was fundamental to who he was.
