Carolynn Luce Obituary, Death – A resident of the Central City region passed away on Tuesday after being involved in a two-vehicle accident close to Grand Island, as reported by officials. Emergency services arrived at a highway intersection shortly before 6 p.m. in response to notifications about a collision between a pickup truck and a sport utility vehicle. Authorities indicated that the vehicles were moving in opposite directions when the accident occurred, with one vehicle merging onto the highway from a secondary road.
The female driver of the SUV was taken to a local healthcare facility, where she subsequently succumbed to her injuries.
The pickup truck's driver was also admitted to the hospital and received treatment for injuries that were not deemed critical. A younger occupant of the SUV underwent evaluation and is anticipated to recover fully.
Investigators have reported that safety belts were being utilized and that it is not suspected that impairment played a role in the accident.
