 Parker Bard, Westfield, Indiana Death and Obituary – Parker Maurice Bard, 23 years old, from Noblesville, Indiana, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. His abrupt departure has created a significant void for his family, friends, teammates, and all whose lives he enriched through his generosity, commitment, and steadfast support of others.

Parker was born on May 15, 2002, in Omaha, Nebraska, and grew up radiating a contagious zest for life along with an extraordinary capacity to relate to others. From early in his life, he exhibited strong willpower, empathy, and a meaningful sense of direction—traits that helped him become a valued student, athlete, and leader.

He recently completed his studies at the University of Dayton, where he focused on education. His educational journey mirrored his intense wish to make a positive difference in the lives of youth. Dedicated to helping others beyond academics, Parker also underwent EMT training and looked forward to starting his career in firefighting. Assisting, safeguarding, and supporting others was more than just an ambition for him—it was a vocation he approached with humility and enthusiasm.

Baseball formed the core of Parker’s existence. As a passionate fan and skilled player, he succeeded in various roles, such as pitcher, catcher, and third baseman. Throughout his life, he proudly played for teams like Westfield High School Rocks, Indiana Nitro, University of Dayton Flyers, Kokomo Jackrabbits, and Ocean State Waves. Beyond the competitive aspect, Parker derived immense satisfaction from guiding young athletes. Through baseball clinics and youth initiatives, he motivated countless kids with his support, patience, and leadership skills, leaving a deep and lasting impact that extended far beyond the game.

Away from sports, Parker embraced a rich and dynamic life. He was a dedicated follower of Nebraska Cornhusker football, relished playing and watching golf, and found solace in music, particularly from artists like the Eagles, Frank Sinatra, and Bill Withers. He also had a love for cooking, frequently preparing dishes for friends and family as a sincere and simple way to show his affection. Known for his kindness and generosity, Parker had a way of making new acquaintances feel like friends and consistently went out of his way to assist others.

Most importantly, Parker valued spending quality time with those he cared for. He held a strong connection with his long-term girlfriend, Meredith McQuillen, and cherished his close friendships with Austin and Rachel Wessel. Family getaways and shared moments with the McQuillen and Wessel families formed treasured memories that will always be cherished.

Parker is survived by his mother, Lynette Bard; siblings, Jackson (Kiley) Bard and Mary Ella Bard; his girlfriend, Meredith McQuillen; extended family; best friends Austin and Rachel Wessel; and his beloved dog, Charlie. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Bard, and his grandparents Darlys Ugland, Bernice Bard, and Richard Bard.

The funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2025, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Westfield, Indiana, with visitation commencing at 10:00 a.m. Parker Maurice Bard will be remembered for his kindness, commitment, and the lasting brightness he brought into the lives of many.
