He is also survived by his parents, William and Nancy Howard Jefferson of Ocean City, New Jersey; his brother Matt and his wife Meredith; sister-in-law Kelly Jefferson; four grandchildren, Parker, Kohen, Rylie, and Phoenixx; as well as four nephews and one niece. Their shared memories will form an important part of the legacy he leaves behind.

The family has also experienced the earlier passing of Dr. Jefferson's brother, Daniel Jefferson, who preceded him in death.
