Amber Kirk Obituary, Death; Authorities seek individuals who may have seen the hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of a woman from Kansas

 Amber Kirk Obituary, Death: Authorities looking into a fatal hit-and-run case have verified that the victim was 36-year-old Amber Kirk, as reported by Topeka Police Lt. Ron Ekis.

The Topeka Police Department is requesting help from the community in locating anyone who might have been at the intersection of NW Topeka Boulevard and NW Paramore Street in Topeka at the time of the incident.

Just before 6 p.m. on November 15, law enforcement responded to a call regarding a hit-and-run that resulted in injuries at the intersection of NW Topeka Boulevard and NW Paramore Street in Topeka. The event involved a vehicle striking a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, later confirmed to be Kirk, was transported to a nearby hospital with critical injuries, where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries.

In the course of the investigation into this matter, police identified 18-year-old Sultan Y. Andemichael from Topeka as a suspect. Andemichael was arrested and taken to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on November 17. He is presently in custody facing charges including Involuntary Manslaughter, Interference with a Law Enforcement Officer, Concealment/Alteration/Destruction of Evidence in a Felony Case, and Failure to Stop After an Accident Resulting in Death.
