AURORA POLICE AND KANE COUNTY CORONER PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION ON SATURDAY NIGHT SHOOTING

Aurora, Illinois — As inquiries persist regarding the shooting that took place on Saturday night at Two Brothers Roundhouse, both the Aurora Police Department and the Kane County Coroner’s Office are unveiling further details to aid the community in comprehending the events surrounding this unfortunate episode.

At approximately 9:10 p.m. on November 22nd, the Aurora Police Dispatch received numerous emergency calls reporting gunshots fired at 205 N. Broadway (Two Brothers Roundhouse). Upon their arrival, officers discovered three individuals with gunshot injuries.

Detectives from the Investigations Division of the Aurora Police Department, accompanied by Evidence Technicians, arrived at the scene to initiate a thorough investigation. As the inquiry advanced, the Kane County Coroner’s Office was summoned to the location.

“The Kane County Coroner responded to a situation at the Two Brothers Roundhouse in Aurora which occurred on November 22, 2025. Two deceased individuals were taken to the Kane County Coroner’s Office. The identities of the two victims have been confirmed as Jazmine Barclay, 24 years old, from Aurora, and Bryan Heineman, 43 years old, from Naperville,” stated Kane County Coroner, Dr. Monica Silva. “On behalf of my entire team, I extend our heartfelt sympathies to the families of Ms. Barclay and Mr. Heineman.”

gest that the suspect, Bryan Heineman, and Jazmine Barclay were in a romantic involvement. On Saturday evening, Barclay was present with a 33-year-old man on the upper-level balcony of the Roundhouse music venue when Heineman entered the establishment. Evidence indicates that he may have gone there specifically to target the couple and potentially discovered their whereabouts through a social media update. Shortly after he arrived, Heineman began firing, hitting both victims before turning the weapon on himself.

Barclay was taken to Mercy Hospital, where she was declared dead as a result of gunshot injuries. The 33-year-old male remains in severe condition in the Intensive Care Unit. Heineman was confirmed dead at the scene. There were no injuries or gunfire impacts reported among bystanders.

A weapon was found near Heineman, along with other items that corroborated witness accounts.

“This was a profoundly distressing incident for the victims, their families, the staff and guests present, and the community as a whole,” remarked Aurora Police Chief Matt Thomas. “Individuals simply aiming to enjoy their evening unexpectedly faced targeted aggression. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and every member of our community who is still coping with what they witnessed.”
