Community Grieves the Death of Cherished Father Bigskeet Hawkins Following Shooting in North Little Rock

 North Little Rock, AR — The community of North Little Rock is grieving the untimely passing of Bigskeet Hawkins, a beloved father and esteemed member of society, who was killed in a senseless shooting incident on Thursday, November 20, 2025. At 10:47 a.m., officers from the North Little Rock Police Department (NLRPD) responded to an alert about a potential gunshot victim on the 4900 block of Arrowhead Place. Upon their arrival, they discovered Hawkins, an adult male, suffering from several gunshot wounds. Despite attempts to save him, he was rushed to a local hospital, where he ultimately did not survive due to his injuries.



Bigskeet Hawkins’s abrupt demise has left the community in shock. Family and friends recall him as a compassionate and devoted father who committed a significant part of his life to both his family and the community. He was characterized as generous, kind-hearted, and always willing to offer assistance, making him dearly loved by those who knew him. His sudden loss has left his loved ones heartbroken and created a significant absence in the community that held him in high regard.
