FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Fayetteville community is grieving the heartbreaking passing of 24-year-old Darrion Williams, who was affectionately referred to as “Slimelife Lild.” Darrion lost his life after being stabbed during a situation while in custody at the W.C. “Dub” Brassell Adult Detention Center (DBDC) in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Officials have indicated that the incident took place at approximately 2:47 p.m. in a residential section of the facility. An altercation involving several detainees escalated into a physical confrontation, leading to two individuals being stabbed with sharp objects. Staff members of the detention center acted swiftly, evacuating the injured individuals and administering emergency care until professionals arrived on the scene. Unfortunately, despite their attempts, both victims died from their injuries at the location.
Family, friends, and admirers describe him as compassionate, devoted, and vibrant. His bright smile and infectious laughter had the power to uplift others, while his drive motivated those around him. Although his life ended prematurely, the affection, joy, and music he brought into the world will endure.
The community has united to celebrate Darrion’s legacy by sharing stories, organizing memorials, and commemorating the difference he made during his 24 years. He leaves behind a legacy characterized by creativity, strength, and love—a testament to the radiant spirit he embodied even amid trials.
