David Waller Obituary Death News: Family Die in Devastating Semi-Truck Accident in Houston County

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. — A family from Florida experienced a heartbreaking loss Saturday afternoon in a tragic accident in eastern Houston County. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) revealed that the deceased were 74-year-old David Waller, 71-year-old Diane Waller, both residents of Floral City, Florida, and their daughter, 49-year-old Carrie Stone from Inverness, Florida.

Authorities report that the family was driving together in a Toyota 4Runner along Highway 84 close to Gordon when their SUV collided with a semi-truck. Initial assessments suggest that the 4Runner was crossing the roadway when it was struck on the driver's side by the approaching truck. The collision was devastating, resulting in significant destruction of the vehicle.

First responders arrived quickly, but regretfully, all three individuals were declared deceased at the scene. The semi-truck driver was unharmed. ALEA's Highway Patrol Division is actively working to investigate the fatal incident.
