Firefighter Sammy Ershidat Obituary Announcement: 23-year-old Professional Firefighter from Chesterfield County Fire

 It is with great sorrow that we announce the heartbreaking passing of Sammy Ershidat, a 23-year-old professional firefighter with Chesterfield County Fire and EMS, who died on Friday, November 7, 2025, due to a motorcycle accident on West Hundred Road. Following the incident, Sammy was rushed to a hospital, but in spite of the medical team's efforts, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The other party involved in the accident suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.




Sammy represented much more than a committed firefighter—he was a son, a brother, a friend, and a beloved part of his community. Renowned for his bravery, altruism, and steadfast dedication to aiding others, Sammy gave his youthful life to assist those in need. 

His teammates at Chesterfield Fire & EMS recall him as an individual who displayed courage in every circumstance, a spirit that motivated those around him, and a heart that consistently cared for others.

The family, friends, and Chesterfield community are grieving this devastating loss. Sammy’s legacy of service, compassion, and commitment will endure in the memories of the individuals whose lives he impacted.
