Frederick Kiprono Obituary Update: The identities of the Uber driver and passenger who were tragically shot and killed on Clyde Fant Parkway have been confirmed by the coroner.

 SHREVEPORT, La. — The identities of the two individuals who were killed while heading north on Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, have been disclosed by the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office.



As per information given to Love Shreveport-Bossier, 43-year-old Frederick Kiprono was operating an Uber when bullets hit his car just after East Preston Avenue shortly before 6:45 p.m. Kiprono unfortunately died at the site of the incident.

One of his two passengers, 18-year-old Tatum Ashley, also sustained gunshot wounds and was declared dead at the scene. The second passenger was reported to be unharmed.

The coroner’s office mentioned that Kiprono was tentatively identified through a government-issued ID, while Ashley's identity was confirmed positively and officially. Autopsies have been mandated as part of the ongoing inquiry.

These fatalities represent the 34th and 35th homicides documented in Shreveport for the year 2025. In addition, with six other homicides recorded in different areas of Caddo Parish, the total homicide count for the parish now reaches 41 this year.

The Shreveport Police Department is actively looking into the fatal shooting. Love Shreveport-Bossier will provide additional verified information as it becomes available from SPD.
