TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Family and friends are grieving deeply over the untimely death of 21-year-old Cierra Brena Anthony, who tragically lost her life early on Sunday morning, November 9, due to a multiple vehicle accident on I-359 in Tuscaloosa.
The Tuscaloosa Police Department reported that the incident took place at approximately 2 a.m. and involved seven cars in total. Cierra was a passenger in a vehicle that was struck from behind by another car. After the initial impact, she and the driver exited their car to check on the other driver involved. Unfortunately, a second collision occurred, hitting their stationary vehicle and throwing it into Cierra, resulting in fatal injuries. Despite the swift arrival of emergency responders, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials have stated that two drivers who were part of the incident face charges of DUI, with the inquiry still ongoing.
