 AMARILLO, Texas — The local community is in deep sorrow following the tragic death of 47-year-old Hilda Lourdes Gonzalez Terrazas from Dalhart, who lost her life in a solitary vehicle accident early Tuesday morning close to Bishop Hills.

As reported by the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident took place at approximately 5:30 a.m. while Hilda was heading south on RM 1061. The reasons behind the event are still being looked into as her vehicle veered over to the northbound lane, exited the road, and flipped over into a brick fence.

Rescue teams arrived rapidly at the incident site; however, it is with great sadness that Hilda was unable to survive the collision.
