As reported by the Anderson County Coroner’s Office, the crash involved a vintage 1967 Pontiac GTO that was impacted by a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The collision resulted in significant damage, injuring three individuals and causing Trooper Coggins’ death at the scene. Two individuals from one of the vehicles were airlifted to a nearby facility for emergency treatment, while the driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.
