The Kansas City community is mourning the deep and sorrowful loss of JaQuis Jones, a caring mother whose life was abruptly ended on the evening of Thursday, November 20, 2025.
At approximately 7:30 p.m., officers from the Kansas City Police Department arrived in response to reports of gunfire in the vicinity of 55th Street and Wabash Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered JaQuis unresponsive in her car, having sustained lethal wounds from the shooting. Despite the rapid attempts made by first responders, she was declared dead at the location.
