Jayvon Bankhead Obituary, Death; – The Sangamon County Coroner, Jim Allmon, has confirmed the identity of the individual who was transported by emergency services from the 400 block of East Washington Street in Springfield to Springfield Memorial Hospital on November 1 after sustaining a gunshot injury.

Jayvon Bankhead, 22 years old, hailing from Springfield, was pronounced deceased at 3:52 AM by medical staff at the hospital.

An autopsy indicated that Bankhead died from a lone gunshot wound.

The Springfield Police Department and Sangamon County Coroner are actively looking into the details surrounding the death.
