It is with immense sadness that we inform everyone about the death of Kyle Ferree, a committed lineman for LG&E, who sadly passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025, while engaged in a job he cherished. The specifics of the workplace incident have not yet been disclosed, but his unexpected loss has left family, friends, and coworkers in deep mourning.
Kyle was a proud union member of IBEW Local 2100 and was widely recognized for his commitment, expertise, and steadfast loyalty. As a caring spouse to Hunter Ferree and a devoted parent to their small children, Kyle’s existence was marked by his dedication to both his family and his colleagues. He had a strong passion for nature, delighting in activities such as hunting, fishing, and enjoying time outdoors. His kindness, resilience, and reliability made him a valued friend, coworker, and neighbor.
A graduate of Corydon Central High School, Kyle resided in Corydon, Indiana, and originally came from New Middletown, Indiana. His premature passing leaves his young family facing immediate hardships, such as loss of income, housing, bills, childcare, and therapy, as they deal with the difficult journey of mourning.
In tribute to Kyle, his work community has initiated a fund aimed at providing support for his wife and children during this arduous time. All contributions will be directed to the family through NSUJL/Help a Hero to assist with essential needs and help them start to reconstruct their lives.
The community is encouraged to honor Kyle’s memory by aiding his family and reflecting on his kindness, commitment, and the affection he generously offered to all those around him.
