The community of Cynthiana is grieving the passing of Parker Alan Payne, 19, who died on Friday, November 21, 2025.
Parker was born on October 2, 2006, in Evansville, Indiana. He graduated from New Tech Institute in 2025 and was a football player for Central High School. Recently, he was accepted into an apprenticeship with the pipefitters union and was a dedicated member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #136. A person of faith, Parker was baptized and took his first communion at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Parker had a passion for outdoor activities, enjoyed working on trucks, cooking, and fishing. Popular for his friendly demeanor and optimistic outlook, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his lively spirit and the happiness he brought to others.
He is survived by his mother, Andrea (Payne) Spaulding (Justin); his brothers, Tyler, Zachary, and Alex Spaulding; his grandparents, Gary and Vicki Payne; his grandmother, Joan Cole; his girlfriend, Ariah Nagashima; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Brian Cole.
Services
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Browning Funeral Home, located at 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN.
The Mass of the Resurrection is scheduled for Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 918 W. Mill Rd., Evansville, IN, with Father Jason Gries leading the service. Following the mass, burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends are invited to visit from 1:00 p.m. until the time of mass on Wednesday at the church.
Parker’s family, friends, and everyone who knew him will hold his memory dear. His enthusiasm for life and his bright spirit will continue to motivate those he left behind.
