Patrick Brady Obituary Update: A firefighter from the Fire Department of the City of New York, Patrick Brady has passed away suddenly.

 NEW YORK, N.Y — The Fire Department of the City of New York is heartbroken to report the in-the-line-of-duty death of Firefighter Patrick Brady, a cherished and devoted member of the department who faithfully served the city for over ten years.




On Saturday, November 8, 2025, Firefighter Brady, aged 42, experienced a cardiac arrest while on the roof responding to a fire at 9407 Kings Highway in Brooklyn. Fellow firefighters and EMS personnel quickly rushed to assist him, applying life-saving techniques before he was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he sadly passed away.

Firefighter Brady began his journey with FDNY on July 14, 2014, proudly completing his training at the Fire Academy before joining Engine 227 in Brooklyn. In 2022, he moved to Ladder 120, where his dedication, bravery, and sense of camaraderie left a significant impact on those around him.

Commissioner Robert S. Tucker conveyed the department's sincere condolences, stating:

“Firefighter Brady devoted his life to safeguarding others. He served this city with dignity, courage, and steadfast dedication. His passing serves as a somber reminder of the sacrifices our firefighters make daily.”

Throughout his eleven years of dedicated service, Firefighter Brady gained the esteem and respect of his peers and the community he served. His name will now be remembered alongside the many heroes who sacrificed everything for New York, marking him as the 1,163rd member of FDNY to make the ultimate sacrifice while on duty.
