MILLSBORO, Del. — Delaware State Police are looking into a devastating two-vehicle accident that resulted in the death of a man from Millsboro on Friday afternoon, November 7, 2025. This incident marks the second deadly crash reported in Sussex County that same day.
As per the authorities, the accident took place at approximately 2:30 p.m. on John J. Williams Highway close to Layton Davis Road. A Dodge Ram heading west, operated by 76-year-old Peter Roskowski from Millsboro, apparently crossed over the median and collided with the front left side of an eastbound box truck from Ford.
Emergency crews responded swiftly, but unfortunately, Roskowski did not survive his injuries and was declared dead at the scene. The Ford truck's driver, a 63-year-old individual from Cape Coral, Florida, was taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

This incident was the second deadly crash reported in Sussex County on Friday, following another earlier accident that took place on Route 1 near Milton.
