Ryan D. Dalton Obituary Death News: 29-Year-Old Ryan D. Dalton Sadly Passed Away in a Collision Involving Two Vehicles

 The West Union community is grieving the devastating loss of 29-year-old Ryan D. Dalton, who sadly passed away in a two-vehicle accident on the afternoon of November 5, 2025.

The Georgetown Post from the Ohio State Highway Patrol indicated that the deadly accident took place at approximately 3:16 p.m. on Sunrise Avenue close to Cosby Street in the Village of West Union, located in Adams County. Investigators noted that Ryan was riding his 2024 Yamaha R7 motorcycle eastward when he collided with the back of a stationary 2025 Volkswagen Atlas, which was being driven by 44-year-old Kellen A. Phillips from Richfield, Ohio.

Even though Ryan was wearing his helmet and protective gear, he suffered critical injuries in the crash and was tragically declared dead at the scene by the Adams County Coroner. Mr. Phillips escaped injury in the accident. Emergency responders from the West Union Police Department, Adams County Sheriff’s Office, West Union Fire and EMS, as well as the Ohio Department of Transportation, all attended to the scene for assistance. The incident is still under investigation.
