Beverly, Massachusetts – The authorities have revealed the identities of the two deceased individuals discovered in what appears to be a murder-suicide at a residence in Beverly earlier this week. The Essex County District Attorney’s Office has confirmed that the deceased are Becky Lynn Center, aged 58, and John Patrick Nesbitt, aged 56, both residents of Beverly.

Law enforcement arrived at a home on Colonial Drive at approximately 9:40 p.m. on Monday after they received calls reporting gunfire. Upon reaching the location, officers found Center and Nesbitt with gunshot injuries. They were declared dead at the site.

Footage captured at the location showcased the peaceful North Shore neighborhood cordoned off with police tape, while multiple patrol cars were stationed outside, and lights lit up the home as investigators continued their work deep into the night.

Local residents expressed their shock and sorrow over the incident. “I am horrified. This area is typically so quiet, and I feel heartbroken about what happened,” a neighbor shared with Boston 25 News. “I can’t grasp that this occurred here. I send my deepest sympathies to the family.”

Authorities have not provided further information regarding the events leading up to the deaths; however, investigators are confident that there was no other involvement. The Beverly Police Department, along with the Essex County District Attorney’s Office, is continuing the investigation.

The community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of two individuals and is sending sincere condolences to the families and friends touched by this tragic occurrence.
