The collision happened around 6:05 a.m., roughly 0.1 miles east of County Road 9. At the moment of the crash, Patton was operating a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado while heading east on the highway. Initial investigations suggest that Patton’s vehicle moved across the fog line and into the shoulder, subsequently striking another car that was stationary on the shoulder.
