Abdullahi Mohamud, Moorhead, Minnesota, Obituary Death News: Two Truck Operators Lost Their Lives in a Collision in Logan County on Christmas Eve

 BISMARCK, N.D. — Officials have revealed the identities of the two truck drivers who perished in a head-on accident in Logan County on Christmas Eve. This incident took place around 8:30 a.m. on Highway 30, located roughly three miles to the south of Streeter.



The individuals involved were Abdullahi Mohamud, hailing from Moorhead, Minnesota, who was driving a 2026 International truck, and Scott Schilling, from Wishek, who was at the wheel of a 2025 Kenworth truck. A passenger accompanying Mohamud suffered severe injuries and was transported by air to Sanford Hospital in Bismarck for medical care.

The highway remained closed for around six hours while officials examined the scene of the accident, during which time a detour was implemented.

 The North Dakota Highway Patrol is still looking into the events that led to the collision and has noted that the road and weather conditions were clear when the incident occurred.

This heartbreaking event has left the local community grieving the loss of both drivers, underscoring the risks present on the roads even in fair weather conditions.
