Soonhoon Choi Obituary Death News: 25-Year-Old Soonhoon Choi and His Expecting Spouse Lexi Waldroup Lost Their Lives in a Head-On Collision in Athens.

 The community in Athens is grieving the tremendous loss of Soonhoon Choi, 25, his spouse Sara Alexis “Lexi” Waldroup, and their unborn baby after a tragic wrong-way collision just days before Christmas.

According to police, the accident occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday on the GA 10 Inner Loop, where a Kia Seltos driving in the opposite direction collided with several vehicles before crashing head-on into the couple's Toyota Camry close to Oglethorpe Avenue.

Soonhoon was pronounced dead at the accident site. Lexi was taken to Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center, where she was placed in a medically induced coma before tragically passing away due to her injuries. Authorities confirmed on Wednesday that their unborn child also did not survive.

The wrong-way driver, 26-year-old Desiree Jaclyn Browning, died at the location of the crash. Her passenger is currently hospitalized in critical condition, while others involved in the incident sustained minor injuries.

Lexi is fondly remembered as a caring wife and excited mother-to-be, while Soonhoon was characterized as a dedicated, kind individual with great potential. The young couple had been eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first child.

As the inquiry proceeds, the family has been touched by the outpouring of support and contributions from the community. Family members intend to bury Lexi next to her husband, paying tribute to a family that was taken from this world far too early.
