Tragically, Thatcher took his own life on December 9, 2025, leaving behind a loving family, friends, and a military community that cherished him immensely.

Thatcher was recognized for his generosity, empathy, and kind nature. Those who were acquainted with him describe a young man possessing a large heart, a playful spirit, and a sincere concern for others.
