Tony Eugene Cole Obituary Death News: 54 Years Old Tony Eugene Cole, a resident of Muscatine, Iowa, has passed away at the age of 54.

 MUSCATINE, Iowa – On Monday, December 1, 2025, Tony Eugene Cole, aged 54, passed away at the University of Iowa Hospital.

Visitation will take place on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Instead of sending flowers, donations can be directed to New Choices. Online messages of sympathy may be left at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

A graveside service will occur at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Greenwood Cemetery, with Vern Cole officiating.

Tony was born on October 27, 1971, in Muscatine, to parents Vernon E. Cole and Terry Honea Hunter.

Tony was a student in Muscatine Schools and participated in the Special Olympics.

He had a passion for bowling, engaged actively in Special Olympics events, and loved to go for walks. He was known for his friendly nature and enjoyed chatting with others. He especially cherished Christmas and the noodles made by his aunt Sherry.

Surviving Tony are his siblings: Mindy Cole, Christy (Brad) Cole, Brandy (Matt) Everhart, Misty Cole, Vern (Dena) Cole, Dale Dodd, Lisa (Leslie) Dodd, and Michael Dodd; also, aunts and uncles including Norma (Tim) Stelzner, Dean (Beth) Cole, Sherry (Randy) Morgan, Kathy (Mark) Seefeldt, and Babbie Lambert; along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both parents; his stepmother, Betty Burgess; his grandparents, Robert and Mary Honea and Ralph and Wilma Cole; and his aunt, Dory Stecher.

The family expresses gratitude toward the New Choices team, especially Joe, Jenny, Amanda, Marie, and Mark, for the exceptional care and affection shown to Tony.
