Brandon Troutman Kane PA Obituary Passing, Cherished part of our Wolfpack and the larger Wolverine

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Brandon Troutman, a treasured individual in our Wolfpack and the larger Wolverine basketball community. Brandon’s death shortly after the onset of 2026 has created an immense and enduring loss in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege to know him.

Brandon represented much more than just a coach, player, or official—he served as a friend, a mentor, and a supportive figure both on the court and beyond. Renowned for his humor, warmth, and the special way he interacted with others (even affectionately calling friends “Turd” from the very beginning!), he spread joy, laughter, and enthusiasm wherever he went.

Outside the basketball court, Brandon was a committed husband to his spouse, Veronica; a devoted father to his daughters, Brooke and Lily, who were his greatest treasures; a loving son to Ed (deceased) and Marsha; and a treasured brother to Autumn. His family constituted the core of his happiness, and every single moment of his existence revolved around them.

Brandon’s life was deeply connected to the sport he cherished. He participated in and coached basketball at Sheffield High School and in Kane, officiated as a PIAA official, and even offered color commentary as a broadcaster, with his enthusiasm for basketball influencing countless players, co-workers, and supporters. His legacy continues through every court he played on, every team he trained, and every individual he motivated.

The communities of Sheffield and Kane grieve for a remarkable individual who will be remembered for his heart, commitment, and compassion for others. Brandon Troutman will be cherished as a guiding light, a friend, a mentor, and a father who devoted everything to those he held dear.

Rest in peace, Coach. While your game has concluded, your influence remains everlasting.
