Perry Brown, Authorities in Rockford Verify Victim's Identity from January 6 Shooting Case

 Authorities in Rockford have identified the individual who lost his life due to a shooting on the night of January 6. Perry Brown, aged 55, was discovered outside a residence on Rutgers Place and subsequently passed away at a nearby medical facility. Additionally, another man, 53 years old, sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital; there have been no updates on his health status.



Law enforcement indicates that they are looking into the situation, although no details have been disclosed regarding a suspect or what may have prompted the event.

 Officers are in the process of collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses.
