With deep sorrow, we share the news of the sudden death of Wyatt Sekura at the age of 28, a loss that creates an immense emptiness in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. Although his time among us was tragically brief, Wyatt’s vibrant spirit, kindness, and influence left a significant mark on everyone who encountered him.
Wyatt is mourned by his partner and closest companion, Tanis; his parents, Corey and Lorena Sekura along with Vicki and Danny Vincent; his brother, Justin (Morgan); and his sisters, Lindsay (Donnie), Tiffany (Eric), and Sara (Joel). He was a caring uncle to Kallie, Adellynn, Abigail, Amelia, Aversyn, and Koen, and he is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, grandparents, extended family, and a multitude of friends whose lives were enriched by his affection and enthusiasm. Wyatt was preceded in death by his uncle Ron and cousin Cheyenne, who he now joins in eternal peace.
Wyatt led a life that was vibrant and filled with fervor. Music served as the essence of his being—whether he was competing in rap battles, crafting beats, or immersing himself in tunes that moved his heart, he showcased his identity through sound. He possessed the characteristics of an entrepreneur and had the inventive spirit to transform anything into something remarkable, whether it was thrifted garments, agricultural tasks, or motorsports. A genuine farm boy, he relished the opportunity to work with cattle, acted as a ringman at Sekura Auctions, and embraced every facet of the land and community he cherished.
Wyatt’s kindness and generosity reached far beyond his close relatives. He gave abundantly of himself, volunteering at senior facilities and aiding those in distress, providing empathy, compassion, and a listening ear without seeking any form of acknowledgment. His enthusiasm and inquisitiveness knew no limits—he enjoyed hiking, biking, camping, dirt biking, snow biking, and adventuring in nature, with Savary Island holding a special significance for him. He valued meaningful discussions, shared meals, and the moments spent with those he adored. Animals, particularly his cherished dog Bepsi, brought him immense happiness.
Family meant everything to Wyatt. He embraced life to the fullest, imparted wisdom in patience, love, and appreciation, and encouraged everyone around him to savor each moment. His laughter, warmth, kindness, and indomitable spirit will forever be etched in the memories of all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service celebrating Wyatt’s life will take place on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at the Mackenzie Conference Centre, located at 5737 45 Ave, Drayton Valley, AB. Everyone who knew Wyatt is invited to join in honoring his memory.
Wyatt Sekura will be profoundly missed, always cherished, and never erased from our hearts.
