Although some could not have grown up knowing Michael, the relationships he created were quick and significant. Many say they felt as though they had acquired a lifelong buddy when they encountered him. He had a remarkable capacity to connect on an honest level—open, cordial, and full of heart. Michael's integrity, not time, defined the depth of their friendship.

Michael was most importantly a loving and devoted dad. The center of his universe and his proudest achievement were his kids.
