Adam Brooks Obituary Update: A Young Family, Along with Their Toddler, Devastatingly Lost in a Kansas Freeway Accident

NEODESHA, Kan. — A tragic incident has caused a Kansas town to mourn the loss of a young family of three following a horrific accident on the morning of November 10, 2025.

As reported by the Kansas Highway Patrol, 21-year-old Adam Brooks was driving west on Granby Avenue, located to the northwest of Neodesha, when he neglected to adhere to a stop sign at the intersection with U.S. Highway 400. His vehicle collided with an approaching semi-truck, leading to a tragic accident that resulted in the deaths of his entire family.

All three members of the Brooks family—Adam, his wife Kylie Brooks, aged 21, and their 2-year-old son Kohen—sustained injuries from the crash that ultimately claimed their lives. Officials stated that Kylie was declared deceased at the scene, while Adam was taken to Wilson Medical Center, where he succumbed around 8:00 a.m. Meanwhile, little Kohen was transported by air to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita but sadly did not survive his injuries about an hour later.

Authorities indicated that at the time of the crash, none of the family members were wearing their seatbelts. The driver of the semi-truck escaped without any injuries.

Friends and neighbors have characterized the young couple, both 21 years old, as loving parents and partners with a deep connection. They were in the process of building a life together with their son Kohen—a cheerful and lively toddler who filled their home with joy and laughter.

This heartbreaking event has left the community of Neodesha in mourning, as family and friends grieve the loss of a young family whose lives were filled with love, aspirations, and hopes for what the future would hold.

The Kansas Highway Patrol is actively conducting an investigation into the accident.
