SAUGUS, Calif. — With great sadness and profound grief, we report the heartbreaking news of a deadly accident that resulted in the death of Brad Whitley, 55, from Simi Valley, early on Saturday morning.
As per the officials at the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, Whitley has been confirmed as the individual who lost his life in the tragic single-vehicle accident in Saugus. This unfortunate incident took place just before 7 a.m. at the intersection of David Way and Bouquet Canyon Road, when a truck struck a pole.
Emergency personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department quickly reached the location, but despite their swift response, Whitley was tragically declared dead at the scene. Another man, who was also in the vehicle, was trapped in the debris for over an hour. Firefighters worked diligently to rescue him, and he was subsequently airlifted to Henry Mayo Hospital for urgent medical care.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash, as the community reflects on the loss of a cherished individual whose life ended far too early.
