Jevon Rashad Obituary, Death; Officials Report Recovery of Body of Missing Individual in North Carolina River

Jevon Rashad Battle Obituary, Death: A missing person was found dead, floating in a river in North Carolina on Monday, as reported by authorities.

The individual, 31-year-old Jevon Rashad Battle, was first reported as missing on November 3, according to the Nash County Sheriff’s Office.

One week later, on November 10, the police in Rocky Mount informed the public that a body was discovered in the Tar River nearby Rocky Mount Mills.

The body was retrieved from the water by the swift water rescue team from the Rocky Mount Fire Department, and officials confirmed that it was Battle.

The exact details surrounding Battle’s death and how he ended up in the river are not yet known; nonetheless, the sheriff’s office mentioned that his remains had been sent to the Greenville Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

Before Battle's body was found in the river, the sheriff’s office stated that “extensive” searches had been conducted to locate him. These efforts included utilizing drones and K-9 units, covering numerous homes and other locations.

The place where Battle was last observed is situated around 12 miles from the river.
